Hiles-Mcleod Insurance is comprised of two former agencies: the Cabaniss Agency made up of Mr. Cabaniss and Mr. Henry Hiles which began in August of 1948; and McLeod Insurance, Walter McLeod, which began in April 1957. The two merged in 1964 forming what we now know as Hiles-McLeod insurance Inc.

Jimmy Eddins, special agent with Auto-Owners Insurance Company was hired in 1978. Jimmy had worked with Auto Owners insurance for seven years and for SafeCo Insurance for five years prior to joining Hiles-Mcleod Insurance. In 1980 Chris Pate was hired having worked for another agency in Pensacola for six years.

Jimmy and Chris became corporate owners in 1981 and a few years later purchased the remaining ownership of the agency. In 2007 Jimmy Eddins’ ownership was purchased by Chris Pate and producers Paul Davidson and Mike Eddins. The strong tradition of outstanding customer service through knowledgeable and professional staff continues.

All lines of insurance are available through excellent national, regional, and surplus carriers. With six agents and ten support staff, the agency gives each account the individual attention needed.
